EMAIL COUNSELLING

 Email counselling can be a practical for people some distance away. It’s also more anonymous but can also be a first step towards face to face counselling.

I offer you the chance to think about and express your thoughts and feelings about specific issues which you may feel you need some help with, or you can use email to create a longer term and ongoing relationship with me.

You might like to discuss with me which option suits you best by giving me a call on 01793 539991 – although this isn’t necessary.

EMAIL COUNSELLING COSTS AND PROCESS

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

1. Each email consultation with me costs £30. This includes one email from you of up to 800 words and one reply from me of approximately 600 words. Payments are made though PayPal (a secure website).  Details of what you might like to consider including are given below.

PayPal requires personal information to complete the credit/debit card transaction (completely confidential between you and PayPal).

2. Payment for Email counselling can be made on-line with your credit or debit card through PayPal (a secure money transfer system that protects your financial details).

3. Please read the terms and conditions below carefully, then if you accept them, please click the Paypal button and make payment which will also be confirmation of your acceptance of the terms and conditions. Payment will need to be processed before sending your email.

5. Please note, I do not offer Email counselling for young people under the age of 18 years.

What does my email need to include?
It will be helpful if you can tell me some background about yourself, and the problem you are writing about and supply your phone number (in case of any email difficulties or if I am unable to respond within 5 working days- so I can call or leave a message to let you know when to expect my reply).

It would be helpful if you could also consider what you are looking to gain from my reply.

I would be interested in knowing what was the trigger which prompted you to write now & how long you have had the difficulty. It would also be useful to understand if you have looked for any help in the past.
 
I will help you to clarify your difficulty, and offer some suggestions of how you might like to move forward.

 I’ll try to reply to your email within five working days (to the return address given unless you ask me to use a different one).

7. If am absent or unavailable within the period of time you require a reply, I will contact you as soon as possible to let you know.

Email Counselling Service -Terms and Conditions

It is important that you read these terms and conditions carefully before booking and paying for the Email counselling service.

1. Booking an EMail counselling session:  Users of this  counselling service must be over 18 years of age & a UK resident.

Please note, this service is not for people with diagnosed mental health problems who are receiving treatment from their doctor.

2. Confidentiality: The content of your email counselling session will be kept confidential unless 

You, or a third party is at serious risk of harm
If I am legally required to do so
In the event of your expressed desire and written permission to do so.

This service is as confidential and safe as I can make it. You do not have to give your actual name, address, or other identifying details (except for a return email address and a phone number in case of difficulties).

3. Payment: Payment for your email counselling exchange  must be made in advance on line via PayPal .
