Free Initial Consultation

For most issues (other than Quit Smoking which is a single one-off session of 2 hours) with clients choosing face to face therapy, I offer a free initial consultation, of approximately 30 minutes, so I can find out more about you and the problem you want to change. It is also an opportunity for you to get to know me and ask any questions about hypnosis, hypnotherapy and counselling or psychotherapy and we will agree a contract accordingly.

At the end of the free consultation you will be able to come to an informed decision about whether you wish to go ahead with hypnotherapy, counselling or longer term psychotherapy.

With  email counselling, there is no free consultation; there is simply an exchange of emails (one each), paid for in advance by Paypal.

With on-line Yahoo Messenger chat counselling and telephone counselling, you will book an hour long session in advance by phone or email (which will include a brief free consultation) and then prepay using Paypal.

I request 48 hours notice of cancellation or alteration of appointments for free consultations. I do charge a full sessions fee if less than 48 hours notice is given unless you are ill, which I can accommodate. Work or employers' decisions which impact on appointments are not considered to be reasonable and it is important for you to be able to create boundaries around your therapy so that it is non negotiable and sacrosanct so that you can make the progress you need to.
