Hypnotherapists Supervision

 I offer differential face to face and peer supervision for hypnotherapy students and practising Hypnotherapists (as accredited with the General Hypnotherapy Register see list of Supervisors) .

I usually work with individuals but am able to offer the same service to small groups of no more than three people. The atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming and provides a safe space where you can review your work with clients, in confidence so that any personal and professional revelations can be made with confidence.

My preferred practice methodology comprises a combination of counselling & hypnotherapy, & tends to  primarily consist of suggestion work rather than hypnoanalysis.

I believe it is important to understand the goals and tasks of the Supervisee and to develop mutual trust and respect, reflecting the same conditions as those created for individual therapy. I ensure that sessions facilitate personal growth, enhance the Supervisees' sense of worth, self confidence & values and that they are interactive & supportive . Time to reflect and think are essential to Supervision as is the space to be imaginative and creative to enhance the skills of the Supervisee.

I give constructive feedback and encourage two-way feedback, addressing any concerns the Supervisee may have, while maintaining professional boundaries.

Some of the aspects which will be considered will be comprehension of underlying issues, creation of hypnotherapy scripts and their application. We will discuss awareness and management of transference and counter transference, ethical frameworks, boundaries and roles & identify any strengths, weaknesses and further training needs.

I will provide reports to any external authorities, such as training organisations or professional bodies as required.

SUPERVISION CONTRACT

Before commencing supervision, a contract is discussed and negotiated with individual Supervisees, which may be formal or informal depending on the Supervisees' requirements. My charge is £45 per session for individuals and £35 each for groups of two or three.
