Phobias and Irrational Fears

Using hypnotherapy alone, some phobic reactions can often be improved within three to five sessions. Some people respond even more positively to psychotherapy and counselling due to the phobia being a learned behaviour which may be ingrained and automatic often because of the influence of early role models.

Some types of reactions can be eliminated within one session using a variation of an Emotional Densentisation Technique (EDT).

Many clients have found their problems with fear of public speaking, flying, spiders, claustrophobia and fear of social interaction have been dramatically improved.

Hypnosis can also be used to access the subconscious mind, where response patterns reside. It is sometimes used to facilitate deep relaxation and reduce levels of anxiety allowing the emotion to be taken out of the experience. It is often possible to re-programme the individual’s subconscious to be totally unaffected by the particular object of fear so that he/she will be impervious to it in the future.

Dentistry

None of us likes going to the dentist, but for some people it is one of the most stressful events they can experience and they develop a severe phobia. The result is that they avoid going to the dentist for regular dental check-ups to the detriment of their teeth.

Hypnosis can be used in dentistry for its tranquilising effects in calming people down before the visit and in some clients can even take the place of anaesthesia.

WITH HYPNOTHERAPY & EDT COMBINED IT IS OFTEN POSSIBLE TO CURE A FEAR FOR GOOD IN 1 – 5 SESSIONS
